Yes, a Catholic priest confesses to another Catholic priest, and yes, nuns go to a priest for confession, as well.

It isn't all casual, like, "Hey, Bob, will you hear my confession after we play baskeball?" Usually, there is one priest who hears the confessions of the others (if there are a group of them), and his own confession is heard by someone a little higher up the priesthood chain.

For nuns, whether they live in a convent or out in the world, there is usually a priest somewhere near them who serves Mass for them. He is generally also their confessor.

Yes, the priests would confess to another priest just as any other Catholic would. Same with the nuns. Most monasteries have a priest assigned to them, because the nuns attend daily Mass, and only priests are allowed to say Mass.

>>Do Catholic priest confess to one another ?<<

Yes.

>>what about the nuns???<<

They confess to priests. Nuns are not in Holy Orders and do not have the authority to absolve sin in God's name.

Yes, they do. The nuns confess also to a priest if possible, or to their Mother Superior if it is a cloistered order.

Yes, Catholic priests have to confess to another priest. Even the Pope confesses to another priest.

Nuns also confess to priests.

The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."

When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.

Catholics also believe that when someone sins they not only hurt their relationship with God, they also injure the entire church, the body of Christ.

Jesus said, "I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:19)

And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,"Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." (Luke 20:22-23)

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation with a priest ordained in the name of Jesus Christ not only reconciles the sinner to God but with the entire church, including you and me.

With love in Christ.
