Stauros is the Greek word for cross - for those who inquired.
The symbol would have been a cleaver and a chopping block or anything to signify victory over death.

It would be a cleaver and a chopping block, but how did you come up with that?
Now, if Jesus were executed today, I wonder whether people would wear a little golden electric chair around their neck.
Actually, it would probably have to be a syringe denoting a lethal injection.
Too bad a "humane" execution was not an option for Jesus.

The question doesn't need to be answered as Jesus died on the cross, so I don't have to answer nor use my thought process to think of an undesirable answer.
Just writing this to get my 2 points.
