I just went to the dentist and in addition to a few cavities that I need filled, the dentist informed me that I will need an inlay.

How much should it cost for an inlay? How much for a filling?

Is it going to be more expensive since I'm in Los Angeles (I heard that dentists out here charge more than in other part of the country)?

DUCE,
AN INLAY IS DONE FOR A TOOTH WHEN AN ORDINARY FILLING IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SUPPORT.
AN INLAY IS MORE EXPENSIVE BECUASE IT'S MADE BY A DENTAL LABORATORY. THERE ARE VARIOUS MATERIAL WHICH CAN BE USED FOR THIS. IT INCLUDES METAL,SUCH AS GOLD, CERAMICS OR SPECIAL TOOTH-COLORED PLASTICS.
THE PRICES VARY AS TO HOW BIG THE INLAY IS AND WHICH MATERIALIS USED.
I HAVE A GOLD INLAY IN ONE OF MY MOLARS. FOR ME IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE.
