trent: The Greeks invented gods, which both, were and are "dead" gods. The Christians God lived, was murdered and rose from the dead to make intercession currently for them. THAT IS the difference.

well if something like that creeps you out, you might as well go live under a rock for the next century or so.
Paganism was the first type of religion, and today it is growing at an enormous rate. i would bet that you have even met some Pagans in your lifetime..
now you wanna know something really scary...
you do not even know who we are. unless we choose to show ourselves, we blend in with the crowds and general society.
you can not tell what god a person worships by looking at them.

So do my Gods creep you out too? I worship the Norse Gods and Goddesses.
The ancient Greeks had their pantheon of deities for the same reason the ancient Hebrews had theirs. Each culture, and in fact each person has a different way of viewing the world and that's exactly how it should be.
