I bit my tongue a few days ago, what can I do to take the soreness out of the bump it caused?

It's on the side of my tongue, and I keep biting it repeatedly. Any suggestions as to what I could do to get rid of the soreness? It's making me CRAZY!

WITH YOUR TONGUE ORAJEL OR AMBESOL WILL WORK WELL TO SOOTHE SORE. JUST PUT SOME OF IT RIGHT OVER THE SORE SPOT.
FOR THE FUTURE MENTION THIS TO YOUR DENTIST BECAUSE YOUR BITE MAY BE OFF.

Orbitol...it is used with teething babies
