Hi. I invented a way to camourflage moving objects, using a fishes skin that changes colour depending upon light. I developed a prototype radio controled tank that switches colour depending on environment.

The problem is I don't have a patent on this and the other guy already published the idea as his own. When I publish ideas online, I am not giving them away, even if I don't get any money for them, I atleast demand recognision for the idea. Another idea that will make some bugger rich and all I get is a violation email warning from yahoo. From now secrets remain secrets.

You still may be able to patent it - it depends on the timing involved here. There "may" also be other claims here that depend on the specific facts - but those are a long shot. You should contact a patent attorney.

But what are you so bitter about? You can still produce your product. Go produce it if you want to. Make it cheaper and better than the other guy and you win. Or do you think you should have just sat on the idea forever with nobody using it?

When ever you have an idea, never discuss it with anyone, check out patents on the Web and if it looks like a winner talk to a patent lawyer, this will cost, but at least you'll know if its a viable idea and whether you can apply for patent rights, But remember even if your idea is a new one and no one has thought of it, it doesn't mean its going to make money, with patents all you are doing is protecting the idea. One other thing how come someone found your camouflaged tank, thought it would be impossible to find ????

LOL you'd need to have stuff copyrighted / Pateneted prior to publishing.... otherwise you'd have to prove it was your's first!!

The camouflage must not have been very good if it was stolen.
