don't ya ever wonder who your talking to. I've seen some pretty sexually explicit stuff on here, anyone ever think it could be your father/mother, or a brother or sister. Pretty weird don't you think?

Maybe some people use avatars instead of their real photos because they get up here telling their business and if they use their photos they are bound to see someone they know.

I do wonder and that is why I try to be very careful in how I answer the questions and I try to make sure I am comfortable with the age of the person before anything explicit is discussed.

I prefer real photos because you see who you're talking to. But I'd be lying if I didn't admit I sort of enjoy the anonymity of using an avatar. If anybody really wants to see my pic just ask.

I think the problem lies more with that the pictures are only 48x48 pixels. It's very difficult to get a good image in that small of a space, not to mention that regardless of filesize, Yahoo STILL compresses your image terribly when you upload it to Yahoo!360, which is another limitation (you can only use your primary picture from Y!360 to my knowledge).
Regardless, your post did encourage me to finally get around to putting up a picture avatar. :D

well do u put urself up there just to see who will answer ur questions based on ur picture? why not put an avatar...it hids an identity...plus no perves kno what u really look like
