No, God doesn't need us at all, it is us that need him. It gives him pleasure to have us suck up to him and praise him as long as it comes from the heart.

That kind of talk portrays God as being jealous, insecure, and in need of a constant ego boost.
Very silly to attribute such petty human characteristics to God.

Religious Empires encourage us to worship God. Then, they conveniently brainwash their followers that the Church represents God; therefore, if you worship the Church and the Church Leaders, you are worshipping God.
