There's been some akward silences since he admits that he likes you. However, things got back to normal and you guys communicated well enough. (were good friends) A year later, he went back to his country to be with his new girlfriend. You regard him as a friend. But after so long of non- corresponding, you think i should send him a birthday greeting? his birthday's coming up soon. Please advise

Its just a birthday greeting. I dont think its wrong to wish your friends well in their lives. :o)

I am in the same situation as you!!!! Lately, I got ahold of his roommate and he was supposed to ask him about me because it has been three years since I have not heard about him!! But, we will see....maybe he will give me his email or address so that I can write to him....

It is apparent you do not feel resolved with him ...or how you have parted..........Yes..send the card ,expect nothing in return, and see what happens ......you have opened the door and stepped in , now it is up to him .........but like I say expect nothing in return so you are not disappointed
