I see it as a sign for fulfilling prophecy and of the times, especially one day after the Red Moon. I think it's interesting that this didn't come out until 27 years later. Almost the life of Christ.Whether or not it is or was him to me isn't as important as the real truth behind why these people were buried there in a Tomb with these markings. I think it's odd how they made an issue of it to be closed up again. It's still an archaeological find and a conspiracy. No doubt the true story has been changed so many times it's hardly recognizable anymore. Perhaps the real Messiah was the one who spoke through him anyway.Jesus had spoke of the Hosts and the Great Hosts. To me this was a clue as well.

Many non-Christians, including atheists, believe that a "man" named Jesus did actually exist. The point of contention is whether he was actually the "son of God" as put forth by Christianity. So, to answer your question, you cannot believe in the divinity of Jesus, yet still believe he existed and his tomb has been found.

Believing in Jesus and believing in his physical existence in history are different. For someone who does not "believe" in Jesus, the possibility that his body may have been found proves that he did not ascend to Heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father as Christians profess. A non-Christian would argue that such physical evidence proves his existence to be one of a man and not of Lord and Savior.

It's difficult for anyone to say that Jesus didn't exist at all, he's one of the best documented individuals of that time. Even atheists believe in Jesus as an historical figure. It's his divinity that is questioned or denied by the non-Christian. So it is possible to find remains if you don't believe in resurrection (and are really lucky).

There are various flavors of belief in Jesus. One could believe that Jesus was a historical person who lived and died, or one could believe in Jesus as a savior or redeemer. (Or some combination.) The purported tomb is more relevant to the first of these than to the second, but one must emphasize "purported" -- the tomb, if it belonged to some Jesus, may or may not have housed the one of interest.

I think it's because some folks may still be open to believing in Him. Some people are really..."I don't believe it if I don't see it" types...so,that may be the thing. The main thing is though, Jesus is accepted by faith which is not real "seeable" for some.

I do believe in Jesus -- He loves us truly and and just wants us to believe in Him and have faith.

I always thought that Jesus existed. I just don't think that he's any more special than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mahatma Ghandi, Franklin Roosevelt, or Abraham Lincoln.

It's one thing to believe there was a man that you call Jesus. It is another to believe he is the Son of God.

I don't think i've ever heard anyone say that Jesus didn't exist. Usually, non-christians beleive that Jesus was a real man, and a preacher, but not supernatural.
