My online frd from Egypt sent me 2 voice IM's, but he seems to not have an egyptian accent...?

He sounds little polish, he says he has a mix of an accent could any1 tell me what the accent is from if he pronounces girls as ga-erls and work as werk these words you can pick up on that it doesn't sound egyptian but he does have a little bit of it when he talks, like he's english isn't that good.

Here we go ,you've said that his English isn't that good.That's why .He could be an Egyptian but he's only trying to make his accent better ...but it didn't work .Because a part of my major is teaching Arabic to the non-native speakers &English also ,I've faced so much similar situations ,each one of them "Egyptian" were speaking different dialectsof English because their mother tongue is Arabic.
But,I did noticed that most of Egyptians pronounce work as werk .

he could be egyptian-- moroccans pronounce words that way. then, again, this online friend could be faking it. there's no real way to tell unless you can get a fellow egyptian to listen to his voice message.
