I've been an MTX man for years. I just purchased my first set of Audiobahn AW1206T's and they hit better than any MTX I've ever owned. I've got 2 mono amps (1 for each sub) and I'm only pushin' each of them with 800Watts @ 2ohms RMS. I could bump it up to 1100Watts each, but that's said to be their limit RMS and hell, as good as it sounds right now, I don't need to. And I got both of these factory sealed off eBay for $170 (the set)! Filled out the warranty card that was in the box and everything, so I'm good if something screws up (that was caused by defect or other).

I would definitely check them out though, you will not be disappointed!

I would definitely pick up Image Dynamics ID12. Good excursion characteristics, tight and accurate even in a small sealed enclosures, very efficient too. They won't shatter your windshields, but anyone in a sound off or competition for sound quality would pick these over anything in Kickers entire line of subs.

Rockford Fosgate Lightning audio. You can get them from Wal-mart for 40.00 apiece.
I was very skeptical of them when I saw them, but bought them for the wife, who only wanted a little bass in her car. Once I hooked them up I was very impressed with the sound quality and material they are made out of. If money is an issue, I'd say these are the answer.

The best sub in that price range is going to be a Diamond Audio D6. I have been using diamond audio's equipment for years in my competition cars and always went away big. Excellent sound quality and suberb powerhandling a great SPL. (sound pressure levels). I have found you a D6 on ebay for you click link below to view.
