I'm flying with United Airlines towards end of this month and according to this map: http://www.ifly.com/los-angeles-international-airport/terminal-map I'm guessing that my flight will land at Terminal 8 between 60 to 68 and the thing is my friend will be picking me up at the Arrivals. Since it's my first time flying into LAX - where do I tell my friend to pick me up in the Arrivals? Do you know if all Terminals have both Arrivals and Departures at the same spot or are they both located at a different place at LAX?

The arrival and departure terminals are on different levels. Just tell your friend to follow the signs and pick you up at the curb of the united area about 30 minutes after you are scheduled to arrive. Either that or she can park right across the street and meet you at the baggage carousel.

If she is going to pick you up at the curb, make sure you are standing in a loading zone. Otherwise she will get a ticket for stopping, even for just a minute.

There are 2 diverse concepts for this question on the grounds that u are flying into LAX from Canada you will bypass by skill of utilising US Customs at your place airport in Canada (it is named Pre-Clearance) and ought to reach in l. a. as a kin contributors flight then in certainty replace planes or terminals if u ought to alter airlines. So 3 hours is extra sensible than sufficient time Your holiday shrink lower back is what concerns me by skill of utilising certainty u will ought to bypass by skill of utilising Customs which at LAX could surprising be very time eating then whether enable your self reliant time to get on your next flight.

LAX has a two tier roadway, upper tier for departures and a lower for arrivals. I would tell him to park in the parking structure in the horseshoe on the lower level near your terminal. It'll beat having your friend drive around in circles while you are waiting for your luggage.

Just tell her the baggage claim area of United and give her all your flight info. She can track it and get all the terminal and arrival info. Arrivals are on the lower level and Departures on the upper. Airlines are assigned the same terminal for arrivals and departures although some international flights are in the separate international terminal.
