Because it's a lot harder to remove a side of creme and lick the cookie than it is to remove a side of cookie and lick the creme.

Most likely because the creme filling would be affected by temperature fluctations after packaging. Picture a package of Oreo's with the creme on the outside and cooking on the inside... the creme would be melted everywhere and a mess. The base is fat ie crisco...melts easilly. The cookie serves as insulation and also holds the creme in place if it does melt for a bit during shipping.

that is the most ridiculous question I've read yet the cream would make your hands sticky. shipment would be impossible because the box would be full of crumbs and cream mushed together and the cream would drop off so the ants would eat more than you do the cream in the middle is a tradition kids have to take apart the biscuit and lick out the cream

Because children and adult would not have fun eating the cream from the top of the cookie.It`s a tradition to take the cookie apart to eat the cream.

then how are the cookied gonna stay together? It is like asking why dun ppl start wearing their underwear outside instead of inside... it just doesnt make much sense

Why don't you ask them? Their website has customer feedback (Kraft Foods). They did have a fudge covered oreo back in the 1980s.

Because then you can't twist it apart... they should do it though cuz then not that many ppl would eat them and get fat. They should get rid of that whole aisle in the grocery store. Nothing but crap for your body.
