Taking prenatal vitamins while you are trying to concieve is benefitial because most women do not get enough Folate in their diet. Thia vitamin helps protect babies against birth defects such as spinal bifida. Also as far as telling when you ovulate usually anywhere from 12-14 after the first day of your period you should start having unprotected sex every other day. Also you can chart your body tempature when your tempature rises that means that you are ovulating. Most women will also notice that there cervical mucas becomes almost like egg white, very stringy and clear....this is also an indication of ovulation. You can buy prenatal vitimans at Walmart and you can also purchase an ovulation predictor kit for under 20 dollars if you wanted to. But mother nature has a way of working itself out. So be patient and good luck. Blessings to you.

I did hear something about taking prenatal pills to get pregnant it suppose to be like taking frolic acids because it puts all the vitamins in your body that your body will need to host a baby. Has for ovulation do the 14 day calender thing where you mark your first day of your period on a calender count 14 days from you f/d/o/p and then count three backwards and forwards from the 14th day and those are suppose to be your most fertile seven days. Good luck and I hope this help without any confusing.

Taking a prenatal vitamin won't "help" you conceive. But, you want to make sure that you are getting a lot of folic acid in your diet before conception because it helps eliminate spinal cord malformations in a growing baby (namely spina bifida).

Some women feel a bit of pain in one of their ovaries during ovulation, but not all. One way to chart your cycle and predict ovulation is through basal body temperature. You can learn more about BBT here: http://www.gynob.emory.edu/familyplanning/basalbody.cfm

Good luck.

Some people feel pain when they ovulate but i think its after so its too late by then. And yes pre natals are good for you. But you need to make sure your getting 1000 mcg of folic acid. the best advice i can give you is dont try too hard. I didn't get pregnant until i stopped trying. I gave up honestly. 4 years it took. It will happen when its supposed to.
