Me and my boyfriend started dating when we were both 19. I am now 20 and he is 21. We quickly fell in love and everything has been pretty great, but do you think our relationship is doomed because it is the first relationship for both of us? I don't necessarily think it is, but I have heard that first relationships never last forever. What do you all think?

Depends on a lot of things like trust, honesty, sharing, respect, communication..... There are a lot things that you need to learn at this age. Personally, I started my first serious relationship when i was 19, now i am 20, and my relationship just ended a few days ago. I learnt a lot when i get out this relationship. So i think it is very hard to make the first relationship last forever, but it is possible. Good luck girl.

very unture, i am in my first relationship and it has been going strong for 7 years now. while it's probably a safe bet most first relationships don't last, it would be stupid to think it's impossible. don't worry about it so much.

When my parents met it was my mom's first relationship and my dad's second. They've been married for over 2 decades. It can happen
