I've heard of this and I thought I had been told the teeth had to be pulled out or something like that.

My first child was born with 2 teeth. One molar on one side of his mouth and another molar on the opposite side. They did not pull them out. A little more than the tip was sticking out. I was breastfeeding for 6 months and it hurt allot to breastfeed him but I didn't stop. My son is 4 yrs old now and he has very healthy teeth and gums. Those 2 teeth he was born with never fell out (just so you know.)
BTW- Both of my kids started teething at 4 months old.

yeah its rare but it happens and most of the time before you leave the hospital they usually pull them out. Due to the fact that by the time they are 2 yrs old they will fall out or rot out due to the milk especially breast milk. you need to go see a dentist or your peds doctor. they say that the longer it takes for kids to get teetth the healthier the teeth. so i would call around to some dentist and get some professional opinions about what should be done. even if they are pulled they will come back in when they are supposed to when they start teething around 8-12 months of age.

Yes, they are called natal teeth. I was born with these ( I believe they were the bottom two teeth.) My mom was shocked! I don't think there were any problems, but I also developed extra teeth when older. I had two sets of wisdom teeth come in!

Yup. It's more common than you might think, as is the reverse: it's not weird for a 14 or 15 month old to have no teeth.

Yes, it's usually the bottom front two teeth. It's pretty rare, I think like 1 in 2000 babies. They use to pull them out. Now we know that they will fall out, and then baby teeth will replace them. It would stick to nurse with those, wouldn't it?

I went to school witk a kid who was named "Bucky" at least I always thought that was his name. Then I saw in a yearbook that his real name was Joseph. I asked him why he had the nickname Bucky and he said it was because he was born with two teeth.
