because u love him, and want to see the good in him, living in denial is easier to handle than what is true, as denial keeps us believing the lie and keeps us from seeing the truth. as it is safer on us emotionally. facing the truth is sometimes just too painful a thing to do at first .

Say what?

Depends. Often, when people say they have "the truth," it turns out they have "a truth" that seems true to them, or something that isn't true, but they want to believe it's true, and for everyone.

What is genuine true I can certainly handle.
