I wouldn't say threatened. At least I'm not. I would ask why Christians seem to be threatened by other's beliefs and continually try to ban their freedom to practice. In fact I see more fear from Christians then from any other group.

I am threatened by the widely held Christian belief that atheists are immoral and not to be trusted. I am threatened by the widely held Christian belief that the U.S. should become a Christian Theocracy.

Do you think I don't have good reason to by threatened by these beliefs?

If all Christians truly lived by the edict to "love they neighbor as thyself", and "judge not", then I wouldn't feel threatened by Christians.

Beliefs themselves are not threatening. However, some people act stupidly on the basis of their beliefs.

A good recent example of that is Dubya invading Iraq because he believed that God told him to.

People are not threatened by christian beliefs any more than they are threatened by dirty jokes. People just want to freedom not to have to listen to obscene jokes or religious holier-than-thous. Have you never felt sick listening to a raving maniac badmouth religion? All of us have heard raving religious people badmouth common sense.

it is not christian beliefs that are threatening...it is christians that are the threat... they have used swords and spears to force their religion on others.

now they have taken up the pen and are attempting to put it to it's deadly use on our law books...
