Which has a better advantage in Martial Arts?

Strength can compensate for a lack of technique, to a point.

Technique, however, can't always compensate for a lack of strength.

One example would be female fighters. If technique was, by far, what made you a better fighter then women with sharp technique would dominate. But you all know as well as I do that is not at all true.

Another example is children. There are plenty of kids with sharp technique that would get killed by an adult that has horrible technique, but simply the desire to fight.

My last example is older, aging fighters. Shouldn't they have the best technique of all? But as they get older and weaker, the become a less effective fighter.

Strength alone is not the answer. However, strength magnifies the technique you do have. Whereas, technique can only give you so much strength.

I would say technique would have the better advantage, but that's accounting for the opponet being evenly matched in skill level. However I think you failed to mention speed as being the unknown factor in this. Speed along with strength might give the stronger guy a advantage to overcome poor technique? But if it's the technique guy that has speed, well that's deadly I'd say!

maximum adult males are toned in the UFC because of the fact they prepare 5-7 days a week and do a ton of cardio. you've gotten a huge gas tank to final 15 minutes scuffling with. Heck, doing 5 minutes is puzzling. particularly, means and technique beat length and power. There are too many examples in the UFC. the difficulty on the subject of the UFC is that any you will win on any given evening.

Technique.

In some martial arts (like Taijichuan) use of strength is actually a hindrance.

You need both, but good technique will help you defeat a stronger less skilled fighter.
