There were 124000 prophets. 5 of them major prophets. The rest (Jonas, Jacob, Acob, Joseph, David, etc.) were just reminding people of either the prophet that came before their time or one being born soon.
Those 5 prophets are Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them) respectively. These 5 prophets are major prophets because they each have a book.
Prophet Muhammad was the last of all prophets.

No such thing as Last except it is the First... The latest name and person is Baha'u'llah (Glory of God), but God is one and the Spirit must therefore be One. The same Spirit of God, always and forever, though persons and times change.

Allah'u'Abha (God is all glorious)

Gordon B Hinckley, the current Mormon President. His title is "Prophet, Seer and Revelator". Hasn't gotten too many important messages lately except about limiting women's pierced earrings to just one per ear. That's a big deal for god right now.

Technically it was Paul, formerly Saul.

In reality, anyone can be a "messenger" depending on how they think "prophecy" and "revelation" are distributed to mankind...

Obviously Mormons think it was John Smith...

Others think it was Malachi... Or Jesus...

There's a dude in Miami right now who thinks he is Jesus reincarnated...

It's all about unrealistic faith...

The last prophet (Book) was Muhammad (Peace and Blessing be upon Him).

There may still be messengers coming.

If you are talking about the Prophet, there is one living today. His name is Gordon B. Hinckley.
No, mormons do not think that it was john smith. I don't even know who John Smith is. Do you mean Joseph Smith? He was a prophet but not the last one.
We believe in the living prophet whose name I mentioned above.
