To confuse another person for any reason or means is unlawful (bearing false witness), to give an evil eye, to perform witchraft, sorcery or promote lust is the way of the devil, your vanity will not save you, yourt lies will not save you, your intellect will not save you, your money will not save you, your success will not save you, your use of the word "hater" will not save you,..we are called by God to be faithful not succesful. "May the Grace of the Lord Jesus be with us all."

If you look closley you will say many quotation marks. As you may or may not know that means it is from an outside source such as in this case the Bible or a book by the Ignatius Catholic Press.

FYI I am saying mankind and I include Adam and Eve, and I understand Adam went right along with it and this is not battle of the sexes here this is a battle that Jesus has already won and we, as people on Earth must fight daily, here are some quotes inconsistent with a beleif in a Christian God and the thought of hell Revelation 3:5 "The victor will thus be dressed in white, and I will never erase his name from the lambs book of life but will ackowledge his name in the presence of my father to the angels." The previous sentence was taken from a quote from the New American Bible ISBN#-0529-06484-7

The above quote from that book was cited to let people know a verse they may have missed or not have yet read concerning the real existence of hell.

He made Adam and Eve doubt God's word. That business about the tree is this
Devil says to Eve- Adam was right there- Translation "You can eat from that tree. It won't hurt you. God doesn't know what He's talking about"
So, they did. Both of them And, Adam never even questioned Eve or said word one againt it. They both doubted God's word

The devil cast aspersions on the word of God, getting Eve to question God's integrity. Adam simply chose to side with Eve rather than God.
(See I Timothy 2:13,14)

He simply used a question that made Eve doubt God. Isn't funny how easily we can be tempted and fall. I mean it's not funny but how can I say..... amazing that we as humans are so vunerable to even the dumbest things. She knew God, He made her yet with just a simple question it all ended....

Sad, but we are no better today

By word play. Twisting God's word..."Did God really say not to....." bring doubt to the mind. It still works like magic to this very day.

As you said, he deceived Eve by twisting God's word around.

If there is a devil, the first trick would be pretending to be god and start to write a book to say he is the one ;P.

It is simply a fable meant to teach consequences for actions, nothing more...

But basically, the "devil" used reason and logic to overcome the micro-managing keeper of the gardens...
