When you cite a conventional source, we're talking about something you'd find in a library. Wikipedia would be an unconventional source. While it's great for finding other sources (listed at the bottom of the article), it's not good to cite Wikipedia as the source of your information.

Books, magazines, trade journals, science magazines, interviews
