Most of the time a 2 year age difference wont give you problems, unless you ruin her life by getting her pregnant or giving her an STD. You should make sure her parents are aware of and agree to the relationship to be safe.
There is usually also a law about the DIFFERENCE in your age...since men are usually a little slower to mature, you are both at about the same level. If you were 25 it would be a different story.

I live in Washington and you only have to be over 16 and only have a seven year difference between you. So I would say to check the laws for your state. But your both old enough to make that decision on your own.

Check into your age of consent laws. In Indiana, a person as young as 16 can legally consent to sex.

You can but you are taking a risk to get in trouble,until she turns 18,it will be illegal.Its called statutory rape.Her parents can take you to court.Believe it or not for cases like those you can get like 20 something years.

Depending on your state laws, some 17 year olds are considered adults in that matter.

You don't have a problem if her parents don't find out. But if you force her, then obviously you have a problem anyway.
