See---some of you people say the same things over and over again- just like a robot.

I doubt you are 100% happy too- considering that you are spilling your grievances in an internet forum...

free will has nothing to do with god or with heavens...
Man is condemned to make a choice in every second of his life. Some choices are good for him and some arent. ...Whether he is fully aware of the consequences of his choices is more important than whether he has free will or not. He may sincerely think that the option he chooses is good for him and for mankind but it may come out the other way around. ......At such cases he cant be held responsible. The problem is that most of our choices are made in full ignorance of the consequences.

I find that too. I find that religion is more of an enslavement then almost anything else. You are bound in traditions and ideas in order to try and find some hope. You are taken in by charlatians and others who want to control you and your weakness.

I would not say that God took free will away from us - instead we took it away from ourselves trying to find God. Pretty ironic isn't it.

I also think people confuse peace and happiness. It is possibile to be peaceful all the time, or nearly all the time, assured by God's presence and love. That doesn't always mean you are happy. You can have great sorrow - but that peace of God consoles you allowing you to have a limitless hope.

Actually, the believer more free than any man on Earth. I am no longer a slave to sin, thanks to my Saviour. Being a slave of God means I am free. Whatever He asks of me, He gives me the will and strength to do. Don't slam things you don't understand. You have no idea what you are missing. There is no joy, no peace like there is in obedience to God. The gratification of the flesh cannot hold a candle to it, it only leaves you empty in the end, and leads to death. I invite you to come experience life like you never thought possible. It can only be found in Jesus. You will still have trouble as long as you are in this world, but you'll find that God will see you through it.Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling.

You have been tricked by the god of this world. People are enslaved in sins, feelings and every wind of strange doctrine that blows their way. Jesus gives us the truth about these worldly feelings and sheds some light upon how the devil manipulates us and truly does free us from the chains of this world and of sin. You must get serious with God and wait for Him to get thru to you. Usually, it isn't God that is taking so long to do His work in you but rather us that hinder His blessing our lives

It depends on what you mean by religion. I am a follower of Christ and I find that I am more free 'cause of it!

"resorting to" "enslaved" wow that is strong language, sounds like you have been hurt. Hope you find the answers you are seeking.

Blessings

I find that by going the way of the world you limit your freedoms. Take drugs for a major obvious example once you start taking them you start to get addicted have to take them loosing your ability to choose in that aspect and the effects of the drug addiction will quickly spread to much of your life and much of the things that religions tell you to avoid are the same way, and those that are not comparable commonly will lead you to things that will take your ability to choose.
To put in simpler terms, the things that God tell you not to do are not to take your agency away they are to help you avoid doing the spiritual equivalent of jumping off of a cliff.

When I became a Christian I chose to try to live a life that is pleasing to God. Living for Christ doesn't make you feel enslaved, it gives you a feeling of freedom. If your not a Christian then you can't possibly understand

Truth frees us from the chains of sin. How is your guilt these days !!!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"But as many as received him (Jesus), TO THEM he gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe in his name, which were born.... not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God"- (John 1:12)

No, you are missing something. When we choose our own paths over that paths that God has laid out for us we become imprisoned to our sins. You would have to experience to understand I'm afraid. I though I was free before I got saved, but i know now I was a slave to sin. I much rather have God's will in my life than my own.

Religion frees me so I don't know what your talking about. Sounds like you are too naive and don't know how to think for yourself. If you did, then "religion" wouldn't have any ability to turn you into a robot.
