you should eat several small meals through out the day

your diet is not quite the same thing as being anorexic, but it could become anorexia.

you could have a heart attack and die.

Anorexia also has lots of emotional things attached to it. You have a fear of food and a skewed perception of your body. Hopefully this is not the case for you :) The fact that you excercise is a wonderful start and eating fruit is healthy. You should try to incorporate more small meals throughout the day. And there is no need to cut off food at a certain time, just make healthy choices. Whole wheat, protein, fruits and vegetables are great. Also a snack once in awhile is not a bad thing. I think you will find that a healthy diet with a good mixture of exercise will show you great results and you will feel better as well. I use a website called selfdietclub.com and they tell me exactly how much i can consume and I log all my food and excerise. The magazine is also very helpful for good tips and food/excercise ideas. Good Luck :)

for losing fat, your diet is very bad, and will bring your metabolism very low, the reason is that your body will think that there is not food available for you and will in turn begin to store fat. it is best to eat 5-6 small meals per day Think of them as snacks if you must , try to include some protein in each, chicken fish or lean beef are your best options nuts like almonds or pecans are good for this also for an option other then meat. finally, drink plenty of water try to drink more than the default 8 8 oz glasses, you can turn up your metabolism just by increasing this amount to 10. your diet is on the verge of being anorexic, If the thought of 6 meals scares you remember they don't have to be large, in fact a hand full of nuts and some carrots with some water is good. To lose weight you need to eat between 1,200 and 1,500 calories per day(at least) break these up between 5-9 small meals a day. fruits and veggies are excellent snacks. You could eat until 8:30 pm. Just like a car your body runs on reserved fuel after the main supply has been used up. Your reserve fuel(calories) are about 300 or so. Your body will quickly use this up while you sleep to keep your vital organs going and maintain your body's temperature. If you stop eating Around 8:30 pm your body will be forced to burn your fat storage. Stopping before 8:30pm only puts stress on your body, possibly making it even more difficult to maintain or lose weight. Anorexia is extreme unnecessary dieting(restricting calories) or even Exercise anorexia-when you eat a certain amount of calories and then constantly exercise so that you burn off all consumed calories as well as a ton more. Just as bad as if you hadn't even eaten, then started to exercise. Anorexia can cause permanent damage to your muscles, bones and vital/all organs. You starve to death slowly in a prison you created, while your body is consuming itself for nourishment. The end result, a painful life and an even more painful death. All and all not worth it. If you think you may have a problem with dieting/losing weight or with your focus on it, please get help. Talk to a counselor, adult, friend or parent.

Eating just one meal a day is not healthy. You need to consume a certain amount of calories to function. Not eating after six p.m. is o.k., but you'll be hungry and more likely to binge. Why not just have some fruit, yougurt, cereal or toast before eight? Your diet does not make you anorexic, but it reveals tendencies of an anorexic. I think you're confusing anorexia with a diet plan. Anorexia is a debilitating psychologocal disorder. It can lead to hair loss, loss of bone density, cardiac arrest and death. All side effects are negative. You should definitely speak to your doctor before you begin any diet or exercise plan. God bless.

Ok...first of all, I'm not answering your questions in order because what the first person described is BULIMIA. Anorexia is where you don't eat and you exercise like...CONSTANTLY because you're convinced you need to burn what few calories you may have eaten. People who are anorexic suffer from a number of things, to include severe weight loss, dehydration, anemia and all sorts of vitamin deficiencies because, well...hard to be healthy when you're not eating.
So, moving on, I usually only eat once a day also, with a snack in between, usually fruit or veggies. I'm perfectly healthy and I, too exercise as well. As long as you're eating that one meal, I wouldn't say you're starving yourself. So, I think your diet sounds fine.
And, unless the reason you eat like this is because you 1) have an intense desire to be pencil/stick thin like Nicole Richie and others of her ilk, or 2) find yourself obsessing over every last little calorie you ingest, you're not anorexic. You're just an average person who doesn't need that many calories to survive.

1) you NEED to eat more than one meal a day. just make your meals healthier, like salads or fruit salads. there is no problem with stopping at 6 o'clock, as long as you've actually eaten a days worth of food by then.

2) yes, this diet is on the verge of anorexia but is not quite there.

3) you will be SEVERELY unhealthy and may start fainting, coughing up blood, and being stick thin. yes, being stick thin is a bad thing. if your ribs are visible, eat more food.

It sounds kind of unhealthy, but not completely. The only reason I say its unhealthy is because you only eat one meal. It doesn't sound like you are anorexic. I think only eating one meal may slow down your metabolism. You should also eat several small meals during the day. I think snacking on fruit and not eating after 6 sounds good though.

Anorexia can cause other severe health problems. But like I said, it doesn't sound to me like you have anorexia.

1: eating just one meal a day is very bad. You are starving your body for the rest of the day which will cause it to store more fat.
Eating after 6 is not bad, It is a myth that eating beore bed will cause you to gain more weight. it doesn't matter when you eat, your body is constantly burning calories. There is little difference in metabolism between someone sitting on the couch all day and someone sleeping.

Excersizing on an empty stomach is VERY bad. Would you run your car with no gas?
When you exersize your body ha to burn something, it will go for the sugars you just ate before moving on to body fat and keytones (your own organs). If you don't eat your body will rebel and store more fat to protect your organs.

2: No, anorexia typically involves psychological issues (depression, obsessed with weight etc.) along with a habit of eating, purging, vomiting, and manic exercising.

3: The major side effect for anorexia that I am aware of is when your body becomes incapable of processing food properly, and your body eating its own organs. This will cause you to loose more and more weight whether you are trying to or not and will eventually lead to death.

There is only one proven diet to actually work 100% of the time. It is called the "Don't eat so much" diet.

If you want something a little more palatable, try eating about five small meals per day (Make them healthy, fruits, vegetables, light sandwiches etc.), have a decently sensible meal for dinner, and drink plenty of water.
Also;
- Cut out all fast food restaraunts
- Stop eating fried foods
- Stop drinking soda
- Stop drinking caffiene
- No candy
- Cut back on sugar
- Cut the fat from meat. (Chicken and pork are god meats to eat)
- stop drinking beer (wine is ok in moderation)
- fill your fridge with fruits and vegetables. When you get the urge to snack they will be readily available.

1. Myth - it's like throwing a log on a smoldering campfire
there's not enough flame to consume the log - so the body turns it into fat - since you are in 'starvation' mode - so you are
actually gaining what you do not want to

woohoo - you exercise - like running a car on fumes in the gas tank - yeah you can do it - but who has AAA service for
the body when you keel over?

2. Close enough -

3. The Karen Carpenter routine - here today - dead tomorrow

4. Now let's get real - figure out how many calories you need
to maintain your present weight - then structure your 6 (SIX)
meals and snacks with 15% less calories
WALK
Breakfast like a Queen
mid morning fruit snack
Luncheon like a Princess
mid afternoon veggie snack like celery/carrot sticks
Dinner like a pauper
Before bed treat - yogurt - puts vital probiotics in your
digestive system that provide bacteria to break your food down

Walk!

Water = 1/2 oz per pound of body weight - this is your 'train'
to take the caboose off the bod! Flush out the bad stuff!

Oh -and did I mention to Walk! easiest exercise and does the
body good -

sorry I preached - just want you around a little bit longer ;-)

best of luck!
