Contact Vital Records Department from the county your were born in.
They will require identification such as a copy of an ID or license.... and also provide them with your DOB-date of birth, your Mothers maiden name , fathers name, city and state of birth...it's easy, I believe the fee is about $18.00 depends which type of birth certificate you want, I would sugest the long form , not the small card, this one does'nt show specific information that is much needed for verification purposes , especially if your intending to acquire a passport... You may also search by County name you were born in ,, in the search engine , key word vital records, maybe they provide online birth certificate request...most of them do and if no search engine is within the main link, then in the same site , there should be a link indicating Vital records....Good luck! ( and state that you are seeking your BC because you lost yours)

What county were you born in?
1) Search the county name in Google
2) Locate county web site
3) Look for Vital Records or Registrar of Deeds section
4) Click on birth certificates
5) Read information on how to get a birth certificate through mail
In most cases you need to send a letter or form requesting the certificate and stating that you are the person on the certificate or another person allowed to get it.
They usually charge about $10 for a copy.
They will mail it back.

There is a website that can help on this. I just entered Birth Certificate and there was at least 3-4 sites that came up. I used one of the sites to get a birth certificate from Ohio, we now live in Texas, took about 4 weeks.

New York State Department of Health and Vital Records, unless you were born in New York City, in which case you have to contact the city's department of Vital Records. You can also try the county department of Vital Records, which also may provide birth certificates.
I get mine, when I need copies from the Town of Oyster Bay, because Nassau County doesn't record them but lets the town clerk do it.

it particularly is a robust question Sister Virginia, and that i'm not sure of the respond, whether it probable relies upon on what's being signed and the standards. some issues you sign it is not significant and then some documents pick a "complete" call signature and a few needed it listed on how apparently on "something" like a credit card or invoice. yet being that he's our "President", i ask your self whether it does remember - and that's a sturdy question. whilst my son replaced into born, I had it on his start certificates that he replaced right into a JR., yet I gave him a center call as the place his father did no longer have a center call so later discovered that he particularly isn't a JR. with the aid of distinction - i replaced into youthful and not that vivid...what can i say - ya stay and learn. besides, I wil have an interest to be certain the respond on your question. i could think of he ought to sign besides he needs to. Take care Sis, Robin

Contact the Bureau of Vital Statistics in the state where you were born..... or the County Clerk....
It is possible to get a replacement from them... there is usually a small charge and they will require certain information from you but it is a pretty easy process.

Contact the County Recorders' Office in the county you were born in. You probably will have to fill out an application, and pay a fee. You may be able to do this on-line.
