I install Slime in my schrader valve tubes - I buy it at Harbor Freight, best price I've found. I buy "True Goo" tubes for the road bike with presta valves - the hassle of squeezing in the Slime wasn't worth it... Both products are effective on goatheads, neither one has worked when I hit broken glass or a screw and cut the tire. I always carry a spare tube, and have a frame mounted pump.

Slime is good. I have ridden with r large thorns in the tyres before.

The tubless, self cealing cystem is better. Lighter and can repair more damage.

However, it is always worth riding with a spare tube and a section of tooth paste tube for the occasional tyre wall repair.

In my experience, they just make a mess in the inside of your tire.

People seem to like Slime brand, and some Giant bikes come with Slime already inside the inner tubes.

I used it on low pressure fat tires and it sealed the hole. I've never tried it in a high pressure 125 PSI 700c tubes.
