I have a cut inside my cheek, very deep by my last molar (wisdom teeth)
i think somehow I bit it during my sleep and it keeps hurting everytime I chew or clench my jaw.
I'm using anbesol to numb it when I eat but still kinda hurts.
I just used mouth was cuz it said antiseptic.
should I just wait for it to heal or is there any oral ointments that i should use.. does it make a big difference?

mix 2 tablespoons of table salt in a cup of warm water. A bit warmer than luke... not hot (you don;t want to burn yourself) but pretty warm. rinse with this 2 times a day and it shold heal within 3-5 days.

the salt in and out of the wound will sting a bit but it will also draw cells there to heal it. Try it!

A simple salt water solution will help it heal faster, stay away from the mouthwash the alchohol will only slow the healing process down. The mouth is the fastest thing to heal due to high blood flow in a few days time you shoud be good as new.

You need to oxidate the cut. Cuts on the skin get oxidized as they are in the open air. Cuts in the mouth do not sufficient air to do the trick. Try some hydrogen peroxide to the cut, it will hurt some, but it is bearable. Other products are available over the counter in drug stores.

They make septic sticks. You can get them in the men's shaving area of your local drug store. They are made for small razor cuts. BUT...they are also good for open cuts inside the mouth as well. Its made with lemon grass and taste like lemons. They are perfect for cold sores. Work very nice. It will coat the cut and protect it for faster healing

Just letting it heal on it's own is the best way. Try not to eat anything irritating for a while.
