I got beaten up the other night and was wondering what i could carry (legal preferbaly but open to suggestions). I was thinking of a retractable type bat thing but where do i find these things? Can anyone help? Something better than pepper spray. Where can you buy a taser?

Depends on what state you live in, etc...
As for the retracting baton, I don't think you can get one if non law enforcement. Legally anyway.- And they are very effective.
Pepper spray is better if there is more than one "target" to evade, etc...
I would strongly suggest a self defense course for anything you may carry for protection.
ps. Unless you want to risk illegal weapons charges- dont listen to those telling you switchblades, butterfly knives, sherukans, etc. are a good idea.
Even so- If a mugger needs to be stopped- Do what you need to do. Even a handful of dirt can be well used. * If you keep an aluminum bat in your car, toss a glove and ball in there too.

Personally I carry a switchblade wherever I go.
I have a GLOCK 19 in the car. And I carry it when I go out at night and other places where it is likely that a situation might happen.
You can get a switchblade anywhere, flea market, Wal-Mart, sporting goods, store, anywhere.

Personally, I would get a handgun for carrying and home defense, if you get beaten up often.
If you're just a kid, stay out of trouble, stay in school, stay away from drugs and gangs, and all that other stuff they tell you. It'll help you survive.

First off I've never heard of a retractable type bat thing. Secondly tazers can be big and bulky requiring a purse to carry the thing, this may also instigate a beat down. I suggest lifting weights and fighting back. They started it.

VERY SIMPLE AND EASY.
if ur state allows it try to get a permit to carry a concealed hangun.. i do and it is the best thing ever.. i carrry with me a beretta m9... one day i was washing my car and 2 people approached me but as i lifted up my jacket they seen m gun and walked the other way.. so get a gun if ur state does not allow it then get a taser

Take a class, learn how to use a weapon, learn the responsibility that comes with carrying a side arm and get a concealed weapons permit. I carry a S&W 9mm.

You'd better check with your local authorities as to what is legal to carry in your area and what isn't. Tasers are available to the public if legal where you live. Enter 'Taser' in any good Internet search engine, or check the pawn shops for used ones.

No knife stuff for me i carry a Colt .45, 1911 series 70. King gun works bushing and a wolf spring kit and it has 7 good reasons not to mess with me.

Move to a state that will allow you to have a concealed carry permit.
Its because the liberal nut jobs trying to make the world a safer place by making sure that the only people who break the law will have firearms.
