I'm refering to the story of Noah and the Ark, of course.

Anyway, I think that he would be much more admired if he actually talked with the people. I'm sure there were at least a couple of decent people that would listen to him...

Read God's description of antediluvian mankind:
"And the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
(Genesis 6:5)
They were quite a bit like most men on earth today. Sound like anybody you know?

Noah did warn the people what God had told him. The people laughed in his face and didnt believe therefore they persihed with the flood. Kind of sounds like today, don't you think. There are so many people in this world not taking heed to Gods word and they are just mocking him and not believing, these people will persih also, just like they did back in the days of Noah !

HE did speak to them. He spoke through Noah..but the people didn't listen to his words. Just like now, as you can see in Indonesia, one disaster after another. 1st it was the tsunami, then there was a terrible earthquake, then floods, now again an earthquake and the last yesterday was an Indonesian plan crashed. This is probably cause the country is full of sin. God did try to speak to them, but they didn't listen.

There Wasn't, that is Why HE Flooded the Earth, to put them Out of their Misery.

Everybody but those 8 People, had gotten into so much Sin that they would Never turn to GOD Again.

It would be the Same Thing if a Christian were to Commit the Unpardonable Sin.

Once a Christian commits That Sin--Game Over for him,her for Eternity.

After you Become a Christian, I would suggest Not Playing Around with Sin Anymore.

God knew what He was doin' when He sent the flood. Maybe that sending the flood would be a more affective way to get their attention. And considering that most of them wouldnt have listened to Him it was a pretty good way of gettin' their attention.

The only person God has talked to besides Adam and Eve, was Moses through the burning bush. And even Moses didn't obey all his commands so what's the point in talking when God's get fed up with uncomplying, stubborn, and evil doers who constantly deny.

God is not known for his diplomacy, nor for his respect for free will. He consistently, throughout the Old Testament and even the New Testament, relies on "shock and awe" tactics of destruction and terrorism in order to get his point across and coerce obedience. He does not communicate with people en masse, merely through individual vessels (who are not necessarily reliable, hence the problem and the feuds between different religious denominations).

Compare the Flood, for example, to:

1. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
2. The murder of the Egyptian first-born.
3. The genocide of the Canaanites.
4. The torture of Job.
5. The horrific, bloodthirsty apocalypse described in Revelation.

God never gives any indication in the Bible of having an interest in convincing people through reasoned arguments to do good. Rather, his interest is in forcing people to obey him through fear and dogmatism.

I'm sure He did speak to them in many different ways .Starting with Noah himself. God uses people as instruments to reach others, but sometimes we are not paying attention. We're too busy waiting for GOD himself to come off His throne, and it's not impossible ,but it might not be the way He wants to present himself.

He tried for your information. The people were stubborn and wouldn't listen to him. Noah was the only one who would.

He did talk to them through Noah. Noah prophesied to them and they chose to laugh at and mock him. God would have saved anyone who believed in faith the Voice of God through Noah.
