Never seen only heard. We lived in a house with hard wood floors and (we didnt have a dog) we would hear the sounds of a dog walking upstairs. Once a broom that was leaning in a corner came straight out and fell on the floor. I believe they exist but I also believe our minds can play tricks on us.

I haven't actually seen one before, but my 11 year old daughter sees her every time she comes to my house. (She lives with her father). We will pull out the mattress off the sleeper sofa and lay in the living room floor at night and about 4:00 in the a.m. she sees a little girl maybe 7 or 8 years old with long golden locks of hair and a dress on with white patent leather shoes. The little girls seems to be curious about the lights on the DVD and TV. She always sees her touching the lights. I haven't seen her before but I can feel a mischief presence on occassions. We've actually had the covers raised off of us during the night and our lamps just accidently fall over.

Never saw him, but he let us know he was there. An old man died in our old house and he's basically still there. He only seemed to want us to know that he was there. He used to bump the bed at night, usually just as we were about to fall asleep and wake us up several times every night until we'd yell at him to knock it off! Then once when I was lying face down in my room reading a romance novel he shook the whole bed. I turned around thinking my husband was messing with me and nobody was there. My children use to have conversations with him all the time when they were little, he seemed to like the kids and they loved the attention.

I have never seen one, but I have sensed them. There is one in my house. He was murdered in the neighbors house but that was some couple hundred years ago when the people that lived there owned our land. Technically speaking, that is why the ghost can come over to my house. It is a friendly ghost, it keeps to itself. It will watch me sometimes or just hang around. When one is somewhere, trust me, you will sense it.

I believe that I have... at an old Radio station I used to work at... it got creepy at night... and all the women who worked there would often report seeing "her" we assumed it was a woman... none of the men ever saw her... we all reported the same thing happening... it was erie... I think she wanted to make sure the women who worked there late night were OK...

This is something very strange for me as I am a Christian, but there have been too many instances to ignore. I can't explain it biblicaly. Anyway...
My father spoke to my mother. She is very skeptical about these things, but she absolutely knew it was my dad. He told her to go to a funeral she had decided not to attend. She went.
My sister woke one night to her dog growling. Her husband -gone for a few years - was standing by the bed with a worried look on his face. She tried to talk to him. Tried to get him to sit down. Tried to get him to tell her what was wrong. But he did not speak. The dog looked directly at him and growled occasionally.
Another sister, while taking massive doses of chemotherapy, said that my grandmother had rubbed her back during the night as it was hurting. Of course, grandma had passed away many years before. This sister was more likely to believe this sort of thing, so??
My brother was electrocuted at the age of 34 in 1979. His wife was a total mess for many years and we are very close. During the weeks just after his death, she could not sleep alone in their bedroom. I stayed with her one night and I saw and felt my brother for quite some time before I finally fell asleep. He was kind of pacing as if he wanted to fix everything -or something- but was unable.

Fact or vivid imagination? I don't know.

My grandmother was left an old sewing machine by a friend of hers, it was placed in a little TV room that my grandparents had in the back of their house. That sewing machine would run by itself!! the treadle part would move as though there were invisible feet on it. if you shined a light on it, it would shut off. My grandfather used to find it amusing, would put clothes there he wanted sewed!!!! I was spooked by it. (my grandparents raised us) but it didn't seem to bother them. They went to the other side a number of years ago..and this got me to wonder who has that haunted sewing machine now!! this is a true story!!!
