Take note of what contributes to your moods - by 9pm, many people are just plain tired. They have no more energy to deal with difficulties, and are best left alone to go to bed early. If you don't eat dinner, you're bound to be irritable. Look at all aspects - physical (mood swings due to pms, fatique, and things like that), and emotional (are you having enough time for yourself, are you using fighting as a way to get some distance from your boyfriend for any reason, etc.). Think bi-polar as a last resort. Most of life's difficulties are due to circumstance, past and present. Take the time to sort out how you feel, what works for you in the morning, and what's not working in the evening. If you find some answers there, go with them. If nothing works, seek professional help. No need to suffer too long!

Could just be you're getting tired. That can put you in a bad mood. Otherwise, you may be getting too much sugar or caffeine. Diet can cause mood swings. You are probably not bipolar. If you were, the depression would last for days or weeks at a time and not a couple hours. The mania episodes would last a short time, hours, days, maybe even weeks but not be all day every day. Still, you should check with a doctor. It could be a medical issue like a previous poster said.

There are rapid cycling Bipolars, but it would be unusual if the cycles were so precisely timed as what you describe, so I rather doubt that is the issue. I'd investigate further as t what seems to trigger the shifts. Perhaps you enjoy your work during the day and your ealy evening activities, but are dissatisfied with other aspects of your life or your role in your relationship?

check out bipolar.com. They have a quiz to take to see if you are bipolar. Bipolar is extreme highs and lows, and I don't think time affects it. Talk to your doctor, or try some relaxation techniques after dinner, maybe take a walk or something and find ways to be calm and relaxed in the pm.

Is it possible that you are stressed and the entire day catches up with your about that time? Whatever relaxes you the most, do that before the mood starts and see if it helps. You may want to go to a doctor if it continues and see if there is a med. that will help.

If you are in the late teens or early twenties possibly, bi-polar.

You also could have something coming up from your past to haunt you so to speak. Something may have triggered a bad memory in you and a past unresolved hurt may be coming up inside you.

People with bipolar have manic episodes where they spend all of their money on stupid things, shop lift, talk a lot and stuff like that. And then they get really depressed. It doesn't sound to me like this is what you have. My guess is that you're probably just worn out and tired after 9 that's why you get moody. If i'm tired i get moody too.

It sounds as if you just have a hormonal in-balance. You should talk to your Doctor about your mood swings and hormone therapy could resolve it.
