I am a girl, not a boy but I will answer anyway. There are many ways to know! Here they are!
1. Ask her out, if she says yes things will go smoothly from there.
2. Slip her a note that says you like her, and see how she responds!
3. Just go and ask her
4. Ask a friend to ask her who she likes, if you aren't one of the guys she likes, find out what she likes and become her dream man!

If you make a stupid joke and she laughs
If you come close to her she doesn't move her arms (unless she's writing)
If you are 20 yards away she will look at you
If you smile, she will smile

look her in the eyes when you try to talk to her. if her eyes dialate when she looks at you, thats a good sign.. try to sit next to her and see if she crosses her legs in your direction, thats also a good sign.. if you're able to hangout with her, pay attention if she playful hits you or touches you for no apparent reason, once again, that is also a good sign.
