"A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." - Antoine de Saint-Exupry

Humans and other animals have vestigial organs. If we were really designed, the design was flawed.

Why would an "Intelligent Designer" use a flawed design?

So sinning is the cause of the plica semilunaris, the vestigial remnant of our nictitating membrane. That's very interesting to know.

Will it disappear if I go to confession?

Of all the life that has ever existed on this planet, 99% of it is extinct. What does that say of a designer? Why did It take him that long to get it right? Isn't he god? Why couldn't he get it right the first time?

Of course, otherwise if the intelligent designer wasn't intelligent, it would be a paradoxical statement.
besides, human and animal design isn't flawed, it's perfectly suited for whatever environment it was meant to be in. Most people think that the appendix is a useless organ that doesn't have a purpose. Actually, it does, believe it or not, the appendix is an indicator that shows something is seriously wrong with your body. same goes for ur tonsils. ur body is telling u that u need to change ur unhealthy lifestyle( lacking proper diet, no exercise etc.)

I think they're finding we do have use of all our organs. But we can function without some - many of them. We can get along without arms, or a leg but it sure makes us better to have them. What's really funny about your "vestigial" question is that years ago this was the thought in the science world. Now they are finding that all organs have function of some type. The smarter we get just proves God was smarter all along.

If you see a building how do you know that there is a builder?

If you were not there to see it being built, the materials used, the workmen or even the plans. How then do you know that there was a builder?

Is not the building evidence of the builder? Yes it is.

So it is with Creation. If there is creation the logic says that there must, has to be a Creator. One does not exist with out the other.

Who ever said that flaws were there in the beginning? What happens to our own responsibility? Or do we have no responsibility for our own actions? Do our actions come at a cost or not? Is it just easier to blame someone or something else for our own misgivings? Or is that wrong to ask?

Think about these if you will.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

no good reason to see a creator as anything but flawed backwards thinking which is not acceptable in our times of knowledge and scientific development.
