Hi, I believe it has to do with free will, when sin entered into the world satan became the prince of the air or this realm, the bible says : it reigns on the just and unjust alike" other wise some times good ppl have good things happen or sometime bad things happen to them, it's the world we live in, but some day we will live in a better place and I look forward to that city!

Read Mathew chapter 5:1-12
I also like Mathew 5: 45- It rains on the just and the unjust.Thats the way it is in our journey through this world but the new world will be another matter where we won`t know sickness or temptation or evil, or hunger or anything that makes our lives here hard.

Better yet, read "The Case For Faith" by Lee Strobel. This guy is AMAZING. He used to be an atheist journalist who began asking these questions and eventually got saved.

He gets the facts, not just theological opinions. He addresses all the really tough questions about Christianity... one of them is "If God is so loving, why is there so much suffering?"

I really think this book will speak to you, and it's a fun read, not boring at all like a lot of mainstream Christian books written by "Dr. So-and-so".

well I can't give you an exact bible verse but I do know that God don't really make them suffer in the end. There's a biggrer prize in the end. plus good people arent realy all that good if they don't believe in God and obey the bible. plus jesus said that his people will suffer like he has cuz the servant is no better than the master as he put it. Devil rules the earth right now so he gets to do what he wants to make people unfaithful.

Humans are suffering due to the bad decision(s) of their greatest grandparent, Adam.

A way to look at it is; Suppose I were given a billion dollars and decided to bet it all on twenty one, black. I lose the entire gift in one shot. This loss will affect my descendants forever.

OR suppose I had a hereditary disease that is passed 100% of the time. All of my offspring will be affected.

Gen 3:17 - 19 is where it began.

Read Psalm 119.

50 My comfort in my suffering is this:
Your promise preserves my life.

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I obey your word.

71 It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.

Also the experiances of Paul:

7
To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.(from 2 corinthians 12)

James 1:2-4 "When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
