That is great, at least you all know each other. There is nothing wrong with that. Everyone needs someone, history doesn't dictate who that someone will be. Enjoy the moment and love your daughter, it is her big day not for the family to ruin quibbling over the past.

Arrive on time, and leave as soon as the cake is cut.
Give her a nice amount of cash in an envelope, have her open your gift first, and then make a quiet exit.

This is your Daughter's day not yours.
*this is why there are 3 showers!!!
one side of the family, friends, co-workers, the other side of the family.
Be tolerant.
Dress so that you will blend in and not stand out.
Be a good guest!!!!

Who's giving the shower, if you are, don't invite her, unless your daughter asks you to. Be polite and quiet.
No nasty remarks. this is her day, the brides, not the mother's!
if she's giving the shower, then arrive at the given time, and leave as soon as she opens your gift. duck out quietly.

So what? She is still your daughter, from the sounds of it your stepdaughter, and you should come to the wedding shower! Who cares if her father is married to your husband's ex-wife? I wouldn't! Just pretend she, he, whatever, isn't what they are! She is your daughter!

You can't go wrong with class. Class is holding your head high, not taking offense at anything done or said, and treating everyone with kindness and courtesy. That will get you through just about any situation. It might also help to remind yourself that nothing, including a wedding ceremony and reception, lasts forever. Good luck!

I understand how upset you feel. I'd try to stop that before it starts. A lot of drama will go down with them.
