If you're interesting, that helps. If you're not, just be genuinely interested in other people. Find out what they do, what they like/don't like, etc. Have opinions about lots of things - not mainstream ideas but views that reflect the real you. Don't be afraid to disagree...with anybody. New ideas to a conversation are like a breath of fresh air. People who simply agree with me are never on my invite list. Be able to discuss current events - but remember. People don't care what you know - they care what you think. Don't be nervous. You have nothing to lose.
