Baby powder is your best bet! even if you have dark hair. the trick is to take a bronzer brush and put the baby powder on it then blow on the brush to get rid of loose powder then dab it on your roots make sure you coat them good keep parting your hair untill all the roots are good and coated then turn your head up side down and take your blow dryer out and blow dry it out while shaking your head(whole process shouldn't take more than 5 min.) it worked for me when i had dark hair but it might not work for you but its worth a try!

Mine too! Sebaceous glands produce and secrete oily matter, called sebum, for the purpose of lubricating hair and skin. - This is nature’s moisturizing treatment!

When the sebaceous glands are behaving properly, the result is healthy, shiny hair. The problem arises when there is just too much of a good thing. Lots of natural oil production may be the way your body is designed or something may be causing it to produce more than the normal amount of oil. Fluctuating hormone levels - sometimes caused by birth control pills or stress - often affect oil production.

To deal with it:

Select a shampoo that states on the label that it is formulated for oily hair or choose one that is extra cleansing or ‘clarifying’.

Stay away from moisturizing shampoos as they are designed to leave a certain amount of oil in your hair as a protection against dryness.

It will be necessary to shampoo your hair everyday in order to remove the oil.

For more thorough cleansing, leave the shampoo on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing it off.

Believe it or not, the WAY you shampoo is important! When your hair feels oily or unclean, you may feel the need to scrub. However, vigorous scrubbing and massage will only serve to stimulate the sebaceous glands, causing them to produce more sebum. Instead, be very gentle while you are shampooing. Simply lather and run your finger-tips lightly over your scalp. Then rinse and repeat the process.

Avoid brushing your hair often or vigorously. This will not only stimulate the sebaceous glands but also will carry the oil throughout the hair.

If you feel the need for a conditioner, - even oily hair can have dry ends because of chemical processing, sun or wind, - use a light conditioner and apply it only to the dry ends of your hair. Rinse thoroughly.

My hair is an identical way. this could sound unusual, yet you could stop showering daily, and slowly get your scalp conscious of being washed each 2-4 days somewhat. The oil glands will quickly start to decelerate and your hair won't get as greasy as right now. This particularly facilitates. additionally, do no longer use any volumizing shampoo. They upload layers of chemical substances to each and each strand of hair and make your hair greasy quicker. Use a no-frills, classic cleansing shampoo, including Head And Shoulders "classic sparkling" shampoo. wish those suggestions help.

Use a really mild shampoo such as baby shampoo, and gradually increase the time between washes. This will be hard the first week or so (you could use a dry shampoo in between) but your hair will soon respond by behaving better, and will be far less greasy. I tried this and it really works.

Forget about all those products and having to wash and ruin your hair:
use loose face powder and dab and blend it into your greasy areas around the scalp. It takes out the grease without always having to shower!

I have heard that baby shampoo is more drying than other types because babies heads are oilier than adults. Try some good old Johnson & Johnson. Btw, are you using conditioner? If you are not, then your scalp may be rebelling against the lack of moisture. Good luck!

Try rubbing a little bit of talc powder (baby powder) into your scalp. It will soak up extra greasiness during the day.
