I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before? Along with that can it cause a rash? And what kinds of allergies can cause this?

Yes, you can be allergic to some things that can cause heart palpatations, especially if it is something taking internally or inhaled.
Also, a rash is not surprising.
Try to determine just when you feel the symptoms and then pay attention to what you have recently eaten or breathed. If it happens very often, better get it checked out....allergy symptoms can escalate each time you have a reaction.
