My dog is a 2 year-old terrier and has always been a hyper little guy. I know it is in his breed to be so active, but as much activity as I give him never seems to calm him down when he sees other people. Can I give him some chamomile, or is that cruel and unhealthy? What can I do for the certain occasions when I NEED him to calm down?

Yes you can and it will help calm your dog down. There is nothing cruel or unhealthy about it. Some of your well known trainers have used Camomile to calm dogs down. Not sure why people think this herb would harm a dog. Try it this way open a bag and sprinkle 1/4 to a 1/2 bag on some can goodie. Good luck

There is a chamomile spray you should find at your local pet store, but number one thing you want to do is take him to a dog park to expend his energy.
