Sweetie, your height and weight are just about right. Since you're only 14, you've still got a little growing to do and that could possibly mean that you will put on some more weight. too. But since you already love to play basketball, your weight will be kept in line because you will be so active. If you have access to some type of weights you will need to strengthen your leg muscles as part of a routine weight work-out and don't forget your arms and shoulders. If you don't have access to formal weights, improvise. Buy a pair of ankle weights (5 or 10 pounds is all I recommend) and wear them when you practice. Don't forget about your arms and shoulders>>> you can use the same ankle weights on your arms; you'll be suprised at how heavy a 5 pound weight can be when you're practicing. Try to get 3 pointers as much as you can>> that could mean the difference between winning and loosing. But always remember, SOMEONE HAS TO LOOSE, and if your team looses, there will more games. Always show good sportsman temperment>>> go over and shake hands with the opposing team, it will show others that there aren't any hard feelings between you and the opposing team. I have a 12 grandson that is wild about his basketball and shows good sportsmanship at every game, whether he looses or wins. It's a gester that means you have character and good manners. Try it and see how many of your team members follow your lead. I don't know about a girlfriend, but I'm sure you've got your eye on some cute little something. Start a conversation with her and acknowledge her every time you pass her in the hallways. But don't limit to being friends to just one girl, acknowledge every young lady in your classes. THAT GIVES YOU BROWNIE POINTS LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. Good luck in all your indevers.

That's very tall for a guy your age, but no, not overwieght or fat. I have an 18 year old friend like you, six feet, around 200lbs, and he's the greatest friend I have. He looks great because the weight is good for his hieght, and it's distributed evenly, and promotes building muscles and what not. But he's not afraid to admit, in fact proud, that he has that little extra padding that mades him not super defined, and he's cool with it.

Just be confident with who you are, no matter what wieght or how you look. Being yourself and enjoying yourself is what will attract good things to you. The coach will see that you're confident, and tall which helps, and he'll put you on the team. Sure, there's some talent that's going to be needed, but not for freshman year, you'll be great because of your height.

As for the gf, chill. Be and enjoy yourself, if you can't do that, how is a girl going to enjoy being with you if you can't even stand yourself? Love being tall, I've dated guys who were tall all their life like you, and they love it, they talk about it like it's a competition all their life. I'm 5'7" but he was -the- coolest guy because he was cool with himself.

Good luck in high school!

14'6 feet tall????

u are not 14 feet tall!

but here is something if u want to lose weight on:
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

You're seriously overweight for your age. Especially considering you just went through your growth spurt. You need to get more active...basketball is a good idea. Get into a good lifelong diet.

You are about 50 pounds overweight. If that's a sign of things to come you need to start a lifelong diet and exercise routine that you can stick to.

I would call you normal, athletic and an achiever that is goal oriented.
I would also call you lucky. The girlfriends will come after to start high school. You're a natural.

if you are 6 ft. tall and weigh 205 pounds, you are not fat,
you are just a little extra tall for your age. no big deal

I'd call you worrying too much about what you look like at your age. And who cares what I say about you, as long as you can still run a mile straight without passing out that's healthy enough for me.
