Does anyone know how I could find my brother Ken Compton who was in the navy and was last seen in Minnesota, but, left there about 5 years ago. He may be in Illinois or West Virginia, but, I don't know.

Any advice?

Go to Military.com search the "buddy finder" or the locator.
Here is the link to that page:

Call the Veterans Administration, or you may go to yahoo and put in Free Search for a loved one. You can also go to the U.S.Armed Services web page, click on administrations,
and talk with someone here. If he is a war vet, it will be easier
to find him, but none the less; use the resources at your disposal on the web and be assured that anyone can be found. If you can not get the results, look at Department of Vital statistics in whatever States you know he may live or have lived in. An old PI trick is to put in a persons inf as if you are that person; say on a power company, Utility, or phone company. If he lives within their area, they will ask or Say that there records show you at such and such address or Did you live at such and such address. Bingo, you are there.

Anyone in the Navy is on records. So go someplace where they may still have the records.
