Humans are oblivious to the suffering of millions, not God.
God gave us free will. It's up to us to put an end to suffering.

Good things come from bad things. For example, from suffering we get HOPE. .which is one of the most important things for humans. From suffering we get experience. .we get knowledge. .we get wisdom. .we get stronger. .and we become able to help others go through the tough times. That's one reason.

Another is in the form of a story:
A man goes to a barber shop one day to get his hair cut. The man and the barber talk about everything there is to talk about. .they then come to the subject of God. The barber says "Well i don't believe in God." the man ask, "Why?" "Well" says the barber "if there is a God why is there so much suffering int he world?" the man is baffled "I don't know" he says confused. The next day he is walking down the street and he sees a homeless man that has long nappy hair and beard. Then it dawns on the man! He goes into the barber shop and say, "Barbers dont exist!" "What? . .I'm right here!" the barber says. "There is a man on the street that has nappy and long har and a filthy beard" the man says. "So. .he didn't come to me" the barber replies. "EXACTLY!" the man yells "He didn't come to you! Just like those people haven't came to God. God won't give you a burden you can't bare. And those things only make you stronger! God is there to help. .to guide. .and to stop the pain. .but you have to trust and believe in him."

Another reason is because we don't know the BIG PICTURE. We, naturally, look at certain events by themselves. We don't know how all these things tie in to make something grand. For example, when you make a cake and you taste raw eggs. .thats gross. You taste flour. .that's pretty dry. You taste milk. .that's bland, but when you mix all the ingridents together that are nasty by themselves and you bake them for a while. .it comes out to something that taste wonderful. Life is the same way. Everything will work out in the end. We don't know God's full plan for us. We don't know how all these bad things tie in together.

So. .there you have it. Pretty simple. We live in an imperfect world. We are imperfect beings. .we need God to help us. .to guide us. .and most of all. .to SAVE us from the evils of this imperfect world, our imperfect bodies, our imperfect ways and hell.

God isn't oblivious. .and God is All-Powerful. .accept it or not. .but its the truth.

In the Bible, God tells us how we can avoid much suffering. He has provided the very best counsel on living. When applied, this fills our lives with meaning, results in happy family life, brings us into close association with people who really love one another, and safeguards us against practices that can bring much needless physical suffering. If we ignore that help, is it fair to blame God for the trouble that we bring upon ourselves and others?—2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:97-105.
Jehovah has made provision to end all suffering. He created the first human pair perfect, and he lovingly made every provision so that life would be pleasant for them. When they deliberately turned their backs on God, was God obligated to intervene so as to shield their children from the effects of what the parents had done? (Deut. 32:4, 5; Job 14:4) As we well know, married couples may have the joys that go with producing children, but they also have responsibilities. The attitudes and actions of parents affect their children. Nevertheless, Jehovah, as an expression of marvelous undeserved kindness, sent his own dearly loved Son to earth to lay down his life as a ransom, to provide relief for those of Adam’s offspring who would appreciatively exercise faith in this provision. (John 3:16) As a result, the opportunity is open to people living today to have what Adam lost—perfect human life, free from suffering, in a paradise earth. What a generous provision that is!

Why did God not forgive Adam and so prevent the terrible suffering experienced by mankind?

Would that really have prevented suffering or would it, instead, have made God responsible for it? What happens when a father simply overlooks deliberate wrongdoing on the part of his children rather than take firm disciplinary measures? The children often get involved in first one form of wrongdoing and then another, and much of the responsibility lies with the father.
Similarly, if Jehovah had forgiven Adam’s deliberate sin, it would really have made God a party to the wrongdoing. That would not have improved conditions on earth at all. (Compare Ecclesiastes 8:11.) Furthermore, it would have resulted in disrespect for God on the part of his angelic sons, and it would mean that there was no real basis for hope of anything better. But such a situation could never have occurred, because righteousness is an unalterable foundation of Jehovah’s rulership.—Ps. 89:14.

I do not consider God as oblivious to the suffering in this world. Remember this life is a test. We are here to prove ourselves worthy to return to his presence. The number one rule of this test is that we have absolute free will. We can read Plato, or we can read Playboy. We can sign on to Yahoo answers, or we can sign on to hustler.com. Some people, too many, fail this test miserably. They seek power, and riches, and don't care who they step on to get it.
God is watching it all. He cries right along with us every time someone is hurt, or dies. He, in his infinite wisdom, knows that he can with a snap of his fingers solve all of it, and bring everyone home now. But if he did, what would he have accomplished? Would our test be finished? Would we have proved ourselves? These things are necessary in the long run to give us our necessary growth to return to his kingdom. We can't know his ultimate goal in this test. Is there a higher purpose? Are we being prepared for an afterlife we can't imagine?
Blessed is he who grieves, for he shall be comforted.
Take the long view. This all hurts, but ultimately we will have our comfort. If we pass the test.

He is not oblivious. Had he not given us brains to think with?
Wisdom to know the consequences of our actions?
Yes he did. So why do we insist on committing acts that can only bring ruin on ourselves?
The suffering of millions is caused by us humans. Do we not hate one another? Do we not wage war against one another?
Who is poisoning the earth?
Who are sending bombs to rain on whole countries?
We humans have the capacity to live in harmony with each other and with the earth but choose not to.

Sounds pretty easy huh? But actually it's more difficult than that. God sees suffering in the world and it breaks his heart but he allows it so that people with hard hearts might just might be touched and change away from their paths of sin to do something. It's the ultimate act of love....like when you know your child is getting ready to make a HUGE mistake like quitting college to join the circus and marry a tattooed freak named Lucy, but you bite your tongue and let him make his mistakes and hopefully he'll learn and grow from it.

Just because God doesn't do what you think He should do, that doesn't mean that He's oblivious, powerless, or that He isn't benevolent.

GOD has given man the power and authority to stopt the suffering but man fails to do what GOD cannot do.

What man can do GOD will not do.
What man cannot do GOD can do and will do.

nOW WOULD gOD DO THAT?

oF course not.

God is in all of us, although, we all have our free will to chose to do this or that. We as God in us, we can save the world, we have the power to help one another, if you think about it, and you don't have to go to deep.
Example....I save him, he save her, she save them, and if I didn't save him... the rest wouldn't be here. It go's like that for all of us, everything that happens is for a reasons, and if we are going to blame anyone, we should blame ourselves.

He's letting us handle it. Are you blaming God? If we stick together we can overcome our problems doing it according to God's will.
