Okay so i have a small amount of acne all over my face. It's better then it was before. I used a product called ZapZyt and it helped clear up most of it but i woke up one morning with really dry skin and my face was super red. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to take away some of the reddness and fast. If you could help me out that would be great. Also if you know how to get my skin back to normal or softer please let me know. I just want to say thanks in advance to all of you that will help me out.

The dryness and redness is merely caused by a slight irritation due to either the benzol peroxide or the sylilic acid (active ingredients in most acne products). A couple minutes after applying the acne medication, try putting on a small amount of non-pore clogging moisturizer on your face.

I had this same problem. It got so bad that I actually lost some layers of my skin & a blood spot on my face started bleeding all the time. (looks like a mole filled with blood-this is usually several layers under the skin. I had dried out my skin so much with acne meds that this happened. The outline of my lips even hurt. This is what worked for me:
1. wash in the morning and before you go to bed with Johnson &Johnson Purpose soap. -do not skip this- you need to keep your face clean!!!
2. Follow the wash with a cool water rinse.-helps to close up your pores after the wash.
3.) Finally, put Nutrogena's Oil Free Moisture Lotion with SPF 15 on you face after each wash/cool water rinse. In about 5-7 days your skin will start to get back to normal-maybe even better that ever. By the way, you won't even need your ZapZyt. That benzoil peroxide stuff is really harsh.
Also-purchase a blackhead/pimple extractor-for any that might pop up- this is awesome at helping you remove them without pinching on your face-which actually causes more pimples-don't Pinch!! Revlon makes the best extractor I've ever seen -you can get them at most drugstores for anywhere from @$5 to $9.00. DO not get anyother brand.
I've tried others, but Revlon makes the best shaped tool to get the job done. I hope this helps you like it did me &
GOOD LUCK.

raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar
to open the pores and loosen dirt and grease from your face turn off the heat from a pan of distilled water, add 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to a quart of the hot water. drape a towel over the pan and your head to steam clean your pores. take a cotton ball, dip in vinegar and pat over skin to remove loosened dirt. repeat 2 more times. then spray or dab on chilled vinegar and equal part of distilled water to close your pores and tone your skin. do twice weekly, also can use the chilled vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily.
it is amazing ....
the following 2 testimonials can be seen at http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/acne.ht...
Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a "very bad complexion". She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!

Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up."

you can get this at the health food store, or at some markets..

The reason your skin is now dry and very red is you were applying a toxic chemical to your skin. A far better way to go would be to start eating a proper healthy diet. fresh fruit and vegetables, good quality water, breathe some fresh air and get out in the full sun. One more tip - laugh a lot.

As for the softness, go easy on the XayXyt and use a facial lotion with no oil.
