I've got a small black and white television that I would like to attach an RCA video input to. The tv has NO input connections. Is it as simple as soldering the RCA to the point that the antenna connects to the internal electronics?

Thanks

There are many reasons you can't do this. The main reason for not doing it, though, is safety. Your set, more than likely, has a "hot" chassis. This means that any connection you make inside will place a lethal voltage on any RCA connectors you might wish to install. Then there's the list of reasons why you can't do it without extensive, costly modification. Like the one poster said. For the cost of necessary mods, you could buy a new color set with all the jacks you could ever want.

Nope. Sorry.

Perhaps you have a screw-on plug for a cable. If so, you need a device (available at Radio Shack, the RF modulator the previous answerer mentioned) that will take RCA input, output to a coax (cable) that you can screw onto your TV.

Perhaps you don't even have that much, but just two screws to attach bare wires from an antenna. For this you need another device (also avail. at Radio Shack) that takes a coax feed and outputs to two terminals or wires that can be attached with the screws.

By this time, you're talking about almost enough money to buy a new small COLOR TV :)

But, whatever...if you have a reason to do it, do it.

You need to get an RF modulator. This converts audio and video signals to radio frequency that your TV will receive on channel 3. You can get one at Radio Shack or Circuit City for $20 - $30.
