Well honey you'd better try. It's clear he wants someone else and you shouldn't try to make someone want to be with you or pursue someone who doesn't want you. Love yourself more than that. And as long as you are obsessing over "mr wrong" mr right has no room to come into your life.

Ask him if he got a new girlfriend. How do you know this? Maybe it was his sister you saw him with or cousin. Ask him if you guys are still dating. It sounds like you aren't telling the whole scoop. If he meant for you to know, ask him about it. Its going to take a lot of guts to step up to the plate towards this guy. HOwever, maybe taking the inititive and showing him you really want him will impress him. Sometimes, guys like agreesive women. For instances, taking the first step to clear up some things. Talk to him to see what's going on.
