Heres an easy, at home exercise you could try doing everyday. Find a ledge, dresser, desk, anything that you could put your hands on ever so slightly just for balance. stand up straight...then stand up on your tippy toes, then come back down, but dont let your heels touch the ground. do this as many times as you can, as often as you can..it will really build the muscles in your calves. good luck!

Try calf raises (link below). If you like to run, hill intervals are a great calf workout, too...even running stairs will strengthen & tone your calf muscles pretty effectively. Good luck.

I do 'tip-toe' presses. You can use weights or not, but if you're just starting out, I'd say no.

To do them just stand near a wall or door way to keep your balance and go up and down like going on your tip-toes. Just go up until the heel of your foot is well off the ground.

Good luck!

Stand on the edge of a stair or curb on the balls of your feet. Raise yourself up by standing on your tippy toes then lower yourself slowly. Repeat this several times. Also lower your heals several times to stretch the tendons.
