And when will He grant it? Within a few seconds? Many years from now?

This is not true.

God retains the right to refuse any request, as is proper for any monarch, especially this one!

Jesus is not a giant, spiritual vending machine, or tame magician pulling goodies out of His hat.

Requests made out of selfishness, or anger, or sinful desire, SHOULD be rejected, as they contradict the very nature of God. There is even a reference for this in James (the epistle).

"You do not have, because you do not ask God. You ask, and do not recieve, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your (sinful) pleasures."

Oh yeah? Then why won't God heal amputees?

Note to Zip-a-dee-do(duh): Jesus by his words is indeed a genie to his believers based on these Bible quotes:

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."
(Matthew 18:19)
"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
(Matthew 21:22)
". . . Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you."
(John 16:23)

Not a genie huh? Might as well be with the above quotes. But he must hate amputees because there never has been a case of one regrowing limbs.

You mean like a personal hand maiden? He is not your slave and most prayers I am sure he doesn't answer or else the answer is no. How many cancer victums asked to be cured?

You sound like a very selfish Christian. Is this some new ploy to recruit all us heathens? (Become a Christian and God will give you anything you want!....for a limited time only, of course)

i guess that he was studying the merrits of being deaf for the 8 years that i tried asking him...nad the funny thing is,,,i only asked for things that would make others lives better. even though i was dirt poor, i never asked for anything for me. just to make my grandmother with Alshimers know her son again... or for my auntie to have better health (before they knew what Lupus was).

i guess that he just was not listening...or maybe he works in mysterious ways.....either way, i am Pagan now.

Why does it HAVE to be in the name of Jesus only. Why can't we directly ask God for it? He doesn't need His son to translate.
