There are far too many variables here..location...colors (green takes longer to heal, for instance).
I feel like you should be pretty much healed by "a few weeks."
Little red bumps could be anything from a reaction to the lotion to a staph infection.
I would stop the lotion and just keep it clean and dry and stop by the tattoo studio to have them take a look at it. We can't help you here sight unseen.

well it depends on what a few weeks was. wether it was 2 or 6. if it has been longer than two weeks than i would say that it just never properly healed. a friend of mine has a tattoo like this, it didnt heal right so the tattoo looks like crap. id go in and talk to your artist, they will probably touch it up unless it is infected, than they might have you go to the doc. where they will prescribe a antibiotic. either that or you could go get a generic kind of over the counter medicine, or cream. it may also be an allergic reaction, so you may want to take some benadryl to see if that gets rid of the red bumbs, depending on the size of the red bumps, they may be hives, which would be taken care of with the benadryl.

Change the lotion, use something that is creamier and doesn't have alcohol or fragrances in it-- alcohol and fragrance will dry out your skin faster. Call up the studio that you went to and have them take a look at it, they can help you best. And if they did something wrong? Get your money back and once it's healed, get it fixed somewhere else.

I think you have an infection in the area or possibly a sensitivity to the ink used.Go back to the tatooist and ask their advice.I dont think that you are supposed to use just any old lotion on them. They do get dry and itchy at first as you know..but something is wrong here.Get it checked before it gets worse.

Maybe this tattoo used a different ink than your others did? Go back to the person who did your work and ask them to look at it.
I had an allergic reaction to red ink once when I had a tat done on my back, and my back broke out like crazy... the red bumps, but I haven't experienced the peeling that you are describing.

Go back to the place you got your tattoo done at. Let them see what is going on. Maybe your skin is sensitive to that lotion and it breaks you out.

I would recommend getting it checked out. Let your artist know what is going on as well. It could be an infection or even an allergic reaction.
